Lily Kagchelland is a rising 13-year-old hunter/jumper student-athlete prospect currently training in Southern California with Megan Walker and Shayne Wireman. Lily will compete at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Regional Competition on February 14–15, 2026 at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.
Lily has prior experience on the Southern California hunter/jumper circuit, earning multiple top-three placings in hunter classes at the Southern California Horsemans Council. She will compete in Thermal, California at the Spring Fling II show, March 26-29th, 2026.
In addition to English disciplines, Lily is an accomplished all-around rider. During the 2023–2024 season, she competed in western events as an FC rider with the California Gymkhana Association on the Mudslingers team, finishing 12th in the state for Birangle and 9th in the state for Single Stake. She completed her second western season in 2024–2025 as a 2D rider, earning 3rd place overall for the season.
Lily currently trains her own jumper, Zookeeper (g. 2020), by Good Samaritan out of Corinthian Wind, by Corinthian. The pedigree traces to Secretariat through the A.P. Indy-Pulpit line, known for producing scope, athleticism, and durability. Zookeeper won his sole career race at Del Mar in 2023, and continues to love his new job as a jumper prospect with big scope. Lily comfortably jumps up to 3’3” and she is an interscholastic athlete with USEF and active with the USHJA.
